Unlike other nitrogen fertilizers, it contains sulfur, one of the important plant nutrients, as well as nitrogen. It is a valuable nutrient source for soils where nitrogen and sulfur deficiency is detected together. In water-saturated areas, nitrate-containing nitrogen fertilizers are lost through denitrification (conversion from NO3 to free N2). Because of these limitations of nitrate fertilizers, ammonium sulphate can be used in all types of soils.<\/p>\n<p>Ammonium sulphate can be easily applied as a top fertilizer for trees and vegetables growing in all soils that are not acidic.
